When your pool water starts to look a bit cloudy, it’s usually because of tiny, suspended particles that are too small for your filter to catch on its own. These can include everything from fine dust and pollen to dead algae and other microscopic debris that slip right through the filtration system. That’s where pool clarifiers come in.

Pool clarifiers are specially formulated chemicals designed to target these small particles. Once added to your pool, the clarifier acts like a magnet, causing the microscopic particles to clump together and form larger groups.

This process, known as coagulation, makes the particles big enough for your pool’s filter to trap and remove them efficiently.

As the clarifier works, you’ll notice your pool water gradually becoming clearer, often within a day or two. For best results, it’s important to keep your filtration system running for at least 8 hours a day, so the filter can do its job and capture all the newly formed clumps.

After the clarifier has done its work, a quick backwash or filter clean will help remove the collected debris, leaving your pool sparkling and inviting.

Using a pool clarifier is a great way to maintain clear water, especially after heavy use, storms, or at the start and end of the swimming season. It’s an easy, effective solution for keeping your pool looking its best, so you can enjoy a safe and happy swim every time.
