Pool Cleaners

Cleaning your pool can feel like a lengthy, time-consuming and tiring task, which is why many people put it off. However, failing to keep on top of pool maintenance can lead to unhygienic and unsanitary conditions, which is where automatic pool cleaners come in.

An automatic suction pool cleaner is the simplest way to rid your pool of dirt and debris. Suction pool cleaners work by circulating the pool and collecting any dirt and debris within them before sending this through the pool filter, keeping your pool clean and safe to use at all times.

Choosing a high-quality pool cleaner is the best choice for maintaining the quality of your pool without you having to take precious hours out of your busy schedule.

Which pool cleaner should I buy?2023-01-16T14:48:14+11:00

Your budget and the type of pool you have will determine which pool cleaner you should buy. In some cases, the debris may be so large that a suction cleaner may not be the correct pool cleaner for you. In other cases, the debris may be so fine that a robotic cleaner may not pick up all the fine debris a suction cleaner would otherwise capture.

Bunnings has a large range of pool cleaners with the more popular being the Hy-Clor Swift and Pulse.

How does a pool cleaner work?2023-01-16T14:48:22+11:00

There are a number of different types of pool cleaners and their primary role is to remove debris from the pool. A suction cleaner is connected to the filtration line and utilises the pressure of the pool pump to suck debris from the surface and walls of the pool into the skimmer basket. A robotic cleaner uses a low-voltage electric motor to create suction which removes dirt/debris from the pool. The debris is captured in a dedicated canister (bag) in the cleaner which requires emptying. A pressure side pool cleaner requires a dedicated pressure line which works off an independent pressure pump and is predominantly used in pools with larger debris. The pressure cleaner also has a dedicated bag which requires emptying
