Key Steps:

1. Approximate dosage rate of pH increaser needed to raise the pH to the desired range 7.2 – 7.6
2. Use a spa test strip to determine the total alkalinity and pH of the spa water before adding pH increaser
3. Do not perform test when chlorine residual reads above 2ppm
4. Wait 1 hour after adding chemicals before performing additional tests
5. To get the most economical, effective performance from your spa chlorine, the total alkalinity should be maintained between 140 – 160ppm and the pH 7.2 – 7.6
6. Important: adjust total alkalinity before raising pH
7. When pH increaser is required, simply broadcast into the spa water with the filter running
